Exceptional, large Salon Lamp by Venini

Italy, 1938

A very rare, large table lamp, ele­gant­ly emerg­ing from a twist­ed glass base with a gold­en bronze ring, elab­o­rate­ly turn­ing and evolv­ing into a mint-coloured lamp­shade reflect­ing the light beautifully.

About Veni­ni:

Based on the Venet­ian tra­di­tion of the 13th Cen­tu­ry, Veni­ni pur­sues to main­tain the art of glass mak­ing, recruit­ing glass mas­ters, artists, and design­ers over the last 100 years and export­ing the objects into the whole world. Since 1921 Venini’s for­nace” has been trans­form­ing pre­cious quartz sand into glass lava to cre­ate won­der­ful objects. In 1923 Veni­ni received the Great Gold Medal The Inter­na­tion­al Exhi­bi­tion of Dec­o­ra­tive Arts” from Mon­za, lat­er the Tri­en­nale in Milan.
