Rich­ly carved and gild­ed, in hard­wood; padded seat with a loose cush­ion, padded back and arm sup­ports, rich orna­men­tal and foli­ate dec­o­ra­tion; the scrolled arm sup­ports ter­mi­nat­ing in cor­nu­copia filled with fruits and flow­ers; raised on dec­o­rat­ed flut­ed legs;
the top rail cen­tered by a bas­ket of flowers.

This elab­o­rate­ly carved Fau­teuil has because of its straight back and the small seat­ing the ide­al size for rooms with lim­it­ed space such as a small salon, a bed­room, or an entrance area with a wardrobe to change.
