Seguso Vetri d’Arte:

The Seguso family has been a leading glass manufacturer in Venice since the late 13th century. During the first half of the 20th century, two companies were of importance. One of them was Seguso Vetri d’Arte, which was a collaboration of several glass artists, including Archimede Seguso (190999). Of great significance was the artistic direction of Flavio Poli (190084), who made a lasting impact with his impressive sense of modern forms, colors, and patterns. Vetreria Archimede Seguso was founded in 1946 when Seguso opened his own workshop to pursue a new approach to glass design. Both furnaces were named Seguso, and each produced the most beautiful glass artworks of Venice using different techniques.
