Elegant Freestanding Jugendstil Display Glass Cabinet

An excep­tion­al and rare Art Nou­veau design of a free­stand­ing glass dis­play cab­i­net craft­ed in octag­o­nal form. The frame­work is exe­cut­ed with great refine­ment in mahogany and fin­ished with shel­lac pol­ish; the fit­tings are made of brass.

The cab­i­net is raised on four slight­ly pro­filed legs with styl­ized feet and is con­nect­ed in the low­er sec­tion by a cross stretch­er in arched form. The upper sec­tion of the cab­i­net is designed with four large faceted glass pan­els. The four beveled edges of the cab­i­net top are each fit­ted with a dou­ble-faceted cut glass element.

The cab­i­net is fit­ted with a lock, locat­ed at the upper part of the door. The inte­ri­or comes with two glass shelves.

A very ele­gant and refined piece of fur­ni­ture, designed to stand freely in the cen­ter of a room. Due to the many glass sur­faces and its del­i­cate design, this cab­i­net does not visu­al­ly dimin­ish a room in any way.
