Chaiselongue Vienna around 1900/1904
Rare model of an elegant chaise longue, executed by the significant Viennese furniture manufacturer Jacob & Josef Kohn around 1900.
This model was made from beech and bent beechwood, which was bent using steam after the invention of Michael Thonet, one of the main competitors of J. & J. Kohn.
This specific model was depicted in the J&J Kohn catalogue from the year 1904. The base of the chaise longue is elegantly curved. The bentwood is dark brown with a glossy shellac polish, and the frame bears signed labels.
It is a beautiful, timeless, and elegant piece of furniture that can perfectly complement any style of interior design, becoming the centerpiece of any room, both visually and in terms of comfort.
The furniture has been restored and freshly upholstered in our workshops in a white base fabric — ready for a decorative cover fabric of your choice.
